Program

On Thursday 20 August 2026, the Renewi Tour peloton travels from the Belgian coast to West Flanders for a stage between Blankenberge and Ardooie. Just like last year, this stage offers the sprinters in the peloton an excellent opportunity to battle for victory. For cycling fans, it is also a unique chance to experience both the seaside start and the finish in Ardooie up close.

Blankenberge welcomes the peloton on the Belgian coast for the start of Stage 2.

Looking for a great day out or a relaxing seaside holiday? In Blankenberge, you can enjoy the very best of the Belgian coast all year round. Stroll along the seafront promenade and marina, discover the charm of the town’s maritime heritage and the Belle Epoque Centre. Stay active with a sea view or explore nature in the Uitkerkse Polder and the Fonteintjes nature reserve. Browse the lively shopping streets and enjoy the many restaurants and beach bars. With vibrant events, hidden gems and activities for all ages, there is always something new to discover in Blankenberge.

The race then heads towards Ardooie, a longstanding fixture on the Renewi Tour calendar and a familiar finish location for spectacular bunch sprints.

, proudly hosts this magnificent cycling event for the 18th time. For a relatively small municipality, it is a great honour that this finish attracts such a wide audience. Cycling fans, sports enthusiasts and visitors alike will discover Ardooie from a different perspective. Our rich cycling heritage comes to life during the Renewi Tour. This year, the Championship of Flanders — better known as the famous Koolskamp Koers — will be organised for the 110th time, a tradition we are rightly proud of.

Accessibility

The start of Stage 2 is located close to the seafront promenade in Blankenberge. Thanks to direct train connections to the coast and the central location of the railway station, the start area is easy to reach by public transport.

Visitors can also access the start area by bike or on foot from the surrounding area. If you are travelling by car, please take into account expected crowds at the coast, temporary traffic measures and possible parking restrictions around the start area.

Finish in Ardooie
The finish in Ardooie is easily accessible via the local and regional road network. Visitors are advised to arrive in good time, as several passages of the peloton are expected in the finish area.

Cycling is a convenient way to reach the finish area and move around the route. If you are travelling by car, please follow the local signposting, official diversions and instructions from police officers and stewards.

The Renewi Tour encourages all visitors to travel to the race as sustainably as possible. Whenever you can, choose the bike, public transport or carpooling. This helps reduce traffic around the route and supports the Renewi Tour’s sustainable ambition.
