Stage 3 | Aalter – Geraardsbergen | 179.9 km
On Friday, the favourites for the overall victory will face their first test in the third stage. Starting in Aalter, which was the finish location for the fourth stage last year, the peloton will head towards the Flemish Ardennes, finishing in Geraardsbergen. With numerous hills, cobbles and passages over the iconic Muur van Geraardsbergen, this stage will undoubtedly make a difference. The finish? Just like last year on the Vesten van Geraardsbergen, when Belgian champion Arnaud De Lie was the strongest.

During the third stage of this Renewi Tour, you can enjoy the VIP Arrivée at the finish line in Geraardsbergen, on the Vesten. An exclusive VIP area near the finish line, a large screen to watch the live broadcast, and an open bar combined with street food to enjoy multiple passages of the peloton!

Start | Kouter, Aalter
• Public transport: Aalter railway station 7 minutes’ walk from Kouter. Several De Lijn bus lines connect Aalter with Ghent and Bruges.
• Cycling: Routes via the Schipdonk Canal and Meetjesland cycle network. Parking near Kouter.
• Car: Edge-of-town parking near the station and sports hall.
Finish | Vesten, Geraardsbergen
• Public transport: Railway station 10 minutes’ walk from Vesten. De Lijn bus lines to Ninove, Aalst and Ronse.
• Cycling: Accessible via the Dender cycle path or rural cycle node routes. Racks near the market square.
• Car: P+R outside the town, shuttle bus to the finish zone.
On Friday, August 22, 2025, Aalter will once again host a stage of the Renewi Tour. For the eleventh time, the municipality welcomes the riders and organizers for a stage from Aalter to Geraardsbergen. The start at the town hall and the route through seven local districts promise a festive day for cycling fans and residents alike. With top riders from Belgium and abroad at the start line, this will be a sporting highlight. Aalter is proud of its cycling tradition and warmly invites everyone to enjoy the action!
